The Everyday Museum at Tanjong Pagar Distripark
Public Art Interventions in an Industrial Landscape

Tanjong Pagar has long been a site of movement and transformation—a place where histories, industries, and lives have intersected. Once a thriving port area shaped by trade and labour, it has since evolved into a space for contemporary art and cultural exchange. The Everyday Museum’s approach to public art within Tanjong Pagar Distripark builds on these layers of change, inviting artists to respond to its shifting landscape and the many stories embedded within.

The commissioned artworks at Tanjong Pagar Distripark engage with the current space, reflecting on its industrial past while speaking to its present and future. Some may highlight traces of what came before, weaving the memory of the port and warehouse district into their forms. Others may take a more abstract approach, offering new perspectives on movement, materiality, and the way people navigate the site.

The Tanjong Pagar Distripark commissioning series invite visitors to pause,  look again, and  consider the depth of the place. Through these artistic perspectives, Tanjong Pagar Distripark is not just a backdrop for art but an active collaborator; a site of layered meanings where past and present converge in new and unexpected ways.

The Tanjong Pagar Distripark commissioning series is made possible with the venue support of Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd.
