Look Up, Slow Down and Pause Here is a bimonthly series of trails exploring the intersections between public art and a contrasting field of interest. Discover the art of slow and mindful looking, guided by individuals responding to The Everyday Museum’s ongoing public art commissioning series—Port/raits of Tanjong Pagar: Encounters with Art in the Neighbourhood and Singapore Deviation: Wander with Art through the Rail Corridor—through their own professional practices. This series intends to create fresh perspectives on the ways we view the world.

Escape the bustle of city life and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as you explore an old railway track that has been transformed into a scenic cycling route with Odyssey Skate School by Odyssey Boards. This location is the perfect playground for you to connect with nature while experiencing the joy of longboarding. Longboarding is an exploration of mobility and freedom, in response to Tan Pin Pin’s public art commission walk walk (Singapore Deviation). Whether you are trying longboarding for the first time, rediscovering the thrill of the wind while cruising on a longboard or relishing the serenity of the surrounding landscape, let the old railway track guide you on a journey of self-discovery and appreciation for the hidden wonders of Singapore’s natural world.
